The 2014 FIFA World Cup is the twentieth FIFA World Cup, a global soccer tournament that is slated to take place around June and July 2014 in Brazil.
This is the 2nd time the continent has hosted the event, the first being the 1950 FIFA World Cup. Brazil will become the fifth nation to have hosted the FIFA World Cup a second time, following Mexico, Italy, France and Germany. Brazil formally reported its candidacy in Dec 2006 and Colombia did so as well a few days later on. The Argentina bid never materialized. The Logo:
