It’s a bitter sweet day coming to the end of this season of the Barclays Premiership Fantasy Football League. Super Sunday will prove to be a great day for many teams and as a fan and Fantasy Football manager it will be great too. Over the season I have given you plenty of tips each week in the hopes that you use them to better your own fantasy team.

This week is no different but more of a summation on rules to use next year when you start over. Try to eliminate the cost of transfers these points can become very valuable in the long run. think about four points every other game week…that would be 76 points.

Play your guys who are playing at home. Teams tend to play better at home…Liverpool is the exception here this season. Also look to see who plays better at home, Swansea had a great home record for the season and will be staying up this year.

As I’m sure you know coming into the close try to get players on teams who have something to fight for. Look at Super Sunday, Both Manchester teams are fighting it out for the League title while Newcastle,Arsenal and Spurs are all fighting for a Champs league spot. Then at the bottom of the table Bolton,QPR and Villa are all fighting to stay in the premiership.

That alone gives you plenty to chose from. At this point in the league it’s quite possible that your league has already been determined. If not take a look at players who have the above traits.

Here is a look at my team the Dead Rabbits for the last time this season

Barclays Fantasy Football Tips for Super Sunday

Forwards

Van Persie – With a Good game week last week it will be good to have the likely Golden boot winner on the front line to finish up the season

Tevez –A must win game at home, I’ll be watching this on the TV and streaming the other games keeping a tab on all the Super Sunday Action

Torres – Going to make him Captain on the off chance he does well at home against an already relegated Blackburn

Midfielders

Tiote – Newcastle have had a wonderful season and I think will fight nail and teeth to get a champs league spot, Tiote is a good offensive midfielder

Mata– I added a Defender this week as I it’s hard to tell who will be rested and who will be playing with Chelsea

Cabaye – Same as Tiote Newcastle will have guns’a'blazin’ this week, so why not end the season with a fighter

Surman – On the second bench spot pending any of my starters not actually starting.

Walters – Another tough one with Bolton at home, Bolton will be very hungry this game fighting for their survival

Defenders

Evra –Sunderland have some offense and are playing at home, I wouldn’t see this as an easy game but the will of United will prove the better

McAuley – My first Bench player as I know he’ll play this week, how well they’ll fair…well that’s to be determined

Senderos –my last Bencher…

Shawcross – Bolton at home will make for a very tight game, hopefully a clean sheet or one goal affair will be best

Jones –an Offensive defense-man is a good person to have in a must win game, maybe some unlikely heroics from him??

Goal Keepers

Vorm – Liverpool who don’t score that much away and don’t have much to play for I feel will be better that Spurs away

Schwarzer - The spurs are also in a fight and are at home with a number of capable scorers

So were you one of the Million people who had Van Persie as captain this gameweek in the Barclays Premiership Fantasy Football League? It seemed that everyone had him as captain and as a result no one was really given an edge as it was him and Yaya Toure who had good gameweeks. in my league it’s pretty much a done deal as the top man in the pinch grip patriots league has a commanding forty six point lead over second place. But that’s not to say that some team will have a blow out game and score three or more goals.

Evra and Schwarzer were the only to shining points on defense which is a bit concerning but just like the teams that are safe from relegation and not fighting for anything it’s time to relax and look towards next season.

Mata was being rested for Champions final for sure and I should have thought of that before playing him but as you can also see I had no one on my bench to offer any help.

So Super Sunday is coming and I have two extra trades…since I’m not really in the running to hold the trophy again who should I pick up this week? leave your comments and suggestions and I’ll choose two players from your posts.

What a week for points in the Barclays Premiership Fantasy Football League, it’s hard to believe that the average was only 69 So now that Gameweek 36 is over is the fantasy football league or even the EPL done…. Hardly. The next two weeks are going to be amazing to watch and participate as fantasy football managers. I’ll post up both my results and my team for this week. Hopefully you took some of my suggestions from last weeks post about who to pick as a 92 point game week is pretty good when the average was 69

To be honest I am now looking at teams like Untied and City (fighting for top spot) Actually all of the top five teams now that the point’s race is so close. Down at the bottom look at Wigan QPR and Bolton. I feel Blackburn will not be able to win their last two fixtures, which will be needed in order to avoid relegation.

It looks like we’ll have a super Sunday coming up to determine the top of the table and who is relegated. It will make for some great football.

Since Stoke is safe for another year I’d prefer to grab someone who has more fight in them. But as a strategy I’m going to leave my team the same this week save the trade and see what happens in the results and see who will be fighting it out on super Sunday on may 13th.

We’re back to normal as the player list is being posted this week.

Barclays Premiership Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 37

Forwards

Van Persie – With only five points separating the gunners from fifth every win will be needed. Norwich at home will not be easy but i do like the home field advantage

Tevez – City are ahead on goal differential and do have the hard last two games. Newcastle are full of confidence after a big win over Chelsea.

Torres – At the lower end of the champs spot race Chelsea need to win both games and hope someone loses both to get back in, unless they beat Bayern. Torres hat trick means to me he’s at least in form.

Midfielders

Duff – Looking at Duff’s play history he seems to be a home player and this week Sunderland at home will be a good tilt for him.

Mata– Not sure if he’ll be rested or called upon with all the important games played and coming up. I’ll have him on just in case.

Cabaye – He’s playing well even though he has missed the score sheet, if Newcastle want to win they’ll need his presence.

Surman – With injuries this week he’ll be pulled up to the number one bench spot..

Walters – This will be a tough game for Stoke as they are safe and QPR are fighting for life they’re also in hostile territory too

Defenders

Evra –Swans at home may look easy but graham and Sigurdsson are pretty dangerous i wouldn’t look for this game to be a cake walk.

McAuley – Clean sheet last week against Villa but on the bench due to double game week this week a tough challenge at Bolton

Senderos – A cheap pick up for the double game week it did not pan out so to the bench. He’s also injured

Shawcross – QPR away will be very tough but with Simpson injured there’s not much room to move on D

Simpson –Injured and also playing City he’ll be reserved for the bench this week.

Goal Keepers

Vorm – United away for a keeper will be very challenging I prefer Schwarzer this week

Schwarzer – Sunderland at home is better than united away

With game week 36 being a double game week in the Barclays Fantasy Football League there is tonnes of potential to grab big points. This is the game week where there will be big point moves due to the teams listed below playing twice.

So this week’s tips have been written about for a couple of weeks. Try and stock your team with players that are playing twice this week. If you can, try to avoid taking a transfer hit but if you’re close to the leader or leading in your league, take a look at what everyone is doing. In one of my leagues the current leader took a 16 point hit by transferring four players

You’ll need to look at their gameweek history to figure out if they have free trades or not but in my case the leader didn’t have any this week and so that gave me free cause to do the same.

This will ensure that I have the same amount or more players playing twice and the point differential between us stays the same. Now all I need is for the players I picked up to perform well in both games.

As I have written before in other posts, this week I wanted to provide some mid to cheap players that you can swap out in order to take advantage of the double gameweek.

Here is the table of the picks I mention for the past week or so:

(I have tried to edit the formatting but this is the best I can get right now)

There are other players on these teams that are more expensive and cheaper but these are typical mid level guys who perform.

I am going to favor teams who have a home and home series as they will tend to play better and teams fighting for something like a champs spot or trying to avoid relegation.

Chelsea and Spurs look good at the top of the table and Bolton looks good as their in a relegation battle.

This week I won’t be showing my team off since the changes are very big and most of the guys in my league tend to read my posts…this is one of the most important game weeks all season.

Just like the United v. City match on Monday may decide who wins the league this week may do the same too.

That being said there are two gameweeks left after this week and any late season pushes by teams still fighting for something have the potential to unlock some big points.

So remember:

Check the transfers by the person leading your table

Make the same amount or less in transfers

Try to use free transfers

Use the table above to get good players

Don’t forget to look at next weeks match ups

Go with you gut

Best of luck and I’ll see you at the Results Post

Tie games and big wins have made this game week very influence to next week. Quite possibly now the biggest week in the Barclays Fantasy Football League is here. But before we get to that post (on Thursday) Like usual I’ll look bad at this week. It has been, to be honest, A bit dismal. The Arsenal v. Chelsea Tie and Villa v. Sunderland tie kept my offensive player quiet.

In the spirit of being honest I’m more interested in focusing on game week 36.

Just to show that my tips do pay off look at the new transfer. Cabaye with seventeen points! not bad for the first day on the roster of the dead rabbits.

As I said last Thursday, I will have a list for everyone to look at on Thursday night that will show the best choices for each of the teams playing a double week.

I will be breaking my zero transfer cost rule as this is the time to go for goal… see you Thursday Night

Pop a bottle of champagne!!…Okay not yet, there’s still plenty of time left in the Barlcays Fantasy Football League for us to rise or fall. It’s certainly hard for managers to focus on this gameweek when such a pivotal gameweek is just ahead. With Managers looking to grab as many points as they can, this week can not be overlooked. There is a double gameweek for players on Aston Villa and Bolton which can lead to some big points. As a manager myself I am looking to take advantage of this but only slightly.

This is a good tip for both this Gameweek and next, Mid-fielders and Defense have a better chance at getting you more points per player than forwards. Clean sheets and assists have higher points and are more likely to occur than goals on a double gameweek.

So try to get some coverage on D and mid for these double game weeks.

I’ve put a small list of forwards and Mid-fielders who will be good choices but now that I realize I left out defenders I’ll share it with you guys in next weeks tips post.

If you want the list as is right now leave a comment or send me an email.

So as with each Thursday my team is below and here’s why you should have these guys playing.

Barclays Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 35

Forwards

Van Persie –A big early morning fixture at home with Chelsea. Chelsea are confident and the Gunners need to make a statement after losing to Wigan. This will be a good game

Agbonlahor – My “free” trade from last week is now coming into play with a double game week but as a forward he needs to score in order to make it really worth while

Yakubu – Listed as doubtful and with a knee injury I feel if Blackburn want to avoid relegation they’ll need Yakubu’s goal scoring ability on the pitch against a strong Norwich side

Midfielders

Sessegnon – I kept Sessegnon around this week just to see if he can muster up a goal up against Aston Villa, next week the plan is to sub him out for Bale

Mata– Back in the thick of it and coming off a Champs league win Arsenal away will be a good match as Chelsea are not too far from fourth and a win would help out big tme

Silva – Aguero and Tevez seem to work will with Silva and with Hennessy out for the Wolves I wouldn’t be surprised to see a goal fest this weekend

Surman – A great off the bench performance last week but this week he’ll start on the bench for me too.

Cabaye – Picked up for Song as Newcastle get back to work and Cabaye plays well with Cisse setting up three of his last goals

Defenders

Evra –Everton at home will be some what easy but Jelavic will pose a threat on the break so we’ll wait and see

McAuley – Excellent performance from him last week in the short week but he’s back to the bench

Taylor – Bolton Away will be a good challenge for the Swans Bolton are looking to avoid relegation so they will be thirsty

Shawcross – Playing fellow defender Simpson I have him on the bench as I feel Newcastle will win this fixture

Simpson –As above playing at home is always an advantage in itself, back on the pitch for Simpson this week

Goal Keepers

Vorm – Bolton Away is less likely to be a high scoring affair than Fulham Away so Vorm is in net this week

Al-Habsi- Dempsey at home is very dangerous for a keeper.

If you’re looking to take advantage of this weeks double game week keep in mind defense and Mid’s do offer good value, I’ll publish my revised list next Thursday so that you can get the maximum points out of a very important game week. However, there is still this weekend to play in the Barclays Fantasy Football League so don’t get too ahead of yourself.

Best of Luck!

So how did your fantasy team fair this week in the Barclays Fantasy Football League? If you took my tip from last week then probably very well then. Last week I told you to pick up some players that were playing but not to take any hits on transfers, basically just any free transfers you had. Now is the time to look ahead at gameweek 36 since there is where the make up points will be had and managers that didn’t have a good week this week will do better that gameweek.

Upfront is making me question my players, there has been a lack of offense by my three strikers and with the close of the season shortly on its way, we need players who are performing. I wasn’t impressed with Yakubu’s taking off on Saturday as it did not look like he was injured and is now currently listed as doubtful? Van Persie has gone a bit cold and has me wondering if my money is better spent else where on a player like Tevez or Augero or maybe even a Torres to close the season, I’ll see what happens this week in the thirty fifth.

As for my mid’s I could be happier, Surman came on and got a nice goal for me and Silva helped set on up too, Sessengon fell flat for a one week addition and Song…he’ll be on the way out too. I’m looking for Mata to have a big return this week so he’ll be playing for sure. Bale will be back in the fray as the plan was for Bale and Adebayor to be subbed back in before the start of gameweek 36. I’ll talk about that in this weeks tips post on Thursday night

Funny how the most points I got this week were all produced by clean sheets and an assist.

Taylor and Vorm both got six with their clean sheet over Blackburn and McAuley got an extra bonus point for his part in West Broms clean sheet but the best performance of all was from my corner stone defender Evra, Notching an Assist and two bonus points to nab me eleven points. Not bad for a short gameweek.

Now all eyes turn to gameweek 36, yes There is a double gameweek for Bolton and Aston Villa this coming week and that’s why I have Agbonlahor hopefully a few extra points can afford me an extra trade for gameweek 36. Trust me the gameweek 36 is where the final push for the Barclays Fantasy Football league will be made and bragging rights and 38 weeks of some what hard work will come to fruition.

Keep an eye out Thursday as we discuss tactics and tips for you to snatch the top spot in your league!

Had time to breath yet? With Barclays Fantasy Football having a midweek game week fantasy Managers have been kept on their toes. Managers that were heavy United and Spurs players were not to happy with the surprising wins by Wigan and Norwhich. This past game week was a pretty good one for me as I normally take a look back at the previous week to make see how my theories and transfers worked out. I kept the same team and managed to have a decent week.

This weeks tip or tips for Game week 34 are to try to have a full team considering there’s only six games this weekend. Managers who have players that aren’t playing may find themselves scrambling to get a full eleven players on the pitch. Keep in mind you don’t want to throw all of the players not playing away as they will most likely being playing a double game week in game week 36.

So use free transfers and if you’re bold maybe take the hit with players not playing. Taking a four point hit just to have a player who plays can add up.

This week I had planned to get at least one or two new players as I saved up two free transfers and I will explain below why I grabbed who I did.

Here is this weeks set-up.

Barclays Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 34

Forwards

Van Persie –Awesome mid-week I feel Wigan will be put back into their place by the weekend

Agbonlahor – Back on the Dead Rabbits roster this week for Adebayor who will be back for Gameweek 36. I don’t anticipate much as he’s playing United who will want to bounce back from their loss to Wigan but he does have a double game week next week which is key

Yakubu – I wanted to throw up when I heard he missed a penalty but he did make it up with two more caps so it was forgiven. Swans will be looking to get a win so it will be tough

Midfielders

Sessegnon – Also making a it back on the roster in lieu of Bale this will only be a one week arrangement as Bale will have a double game week in the thirty sixth.

Mata– Double game week on the 36 so he’ll take a break on the bench

Silva – Norwich will be strong at home and coming of their win so this will not be easy for City

Surman – Replaced last week for Johnson simply hoping he gets a full 90 or 60 at best

Song – Wigan at home and an assist last mid-week hopefully that trend of performing will continue

Defenders

Evra –Aston Villa at home and just after suffering a poor defeat it’s mixed feelings as Gabby is up front for me

McAuley – Coming into play for this week as he is one of the few guys on my bench who I hope will play this week and grab a full ninety minutes

Taylor – Again mixed feelings as Yakubu is up front but what can you do when only six games are on deck

Shawcross – Double game week on the 36 so he’ll take a break on the bench

Simpson – same as above on the bench for a rest

Goal Keepers

Vorm – Swans need a win to get their confidence back Blackburn might just be the team to get it back from.

Al-Habsi- Arsenal look to be in good form so Vorm gets the call

So as I said above you want to make sure you can get as many players onto the pitch with out taking a hit in transfers as it may no pay you back. Keep in mind also that most of those players will have a double game week on the the thirty sixth and you’ll be able to rake back some points if you’re going to take a hit this week.

Otherwise, enjoy this condensed game week and as always feel free to leave your comments and suggestions below!

With a one day turn around in this weeks Barclays Fantasy Football League Gameweek 33 is all about being nimble. I took a look at the performance of my players this week and checked to see who was playing right after the weekend. On the defensive side there was clean sheets for Evra and Simpson who came on for Silva. Shawcross also got an assist and a bonus which gave him a six.

My captain this week (Mata) was able to score a clutch goal and get a max bonus. Also on midfield Song kept a clean sheet and two bonus points.

Upfront was lacking with no one scoring or getting an assist. So we’ll have to practice patience and see what develops during the week.

Speaking of this game week, I took out Johnson for Surman as I wanted to have a Norwhich player who plays not only since both Bale and Silva may not play this game week but for game week 34. Aside from that the Team will be staying the same and I will be switching my Captain to Van Persie.
